Eric Sevareid (1912–1992) was a writer for the New York Herald Tribune and a journalist for CBS radio. Most known for covering World War II, he reported on the movement of the Germans to Paris and on the effect of war on life in London. In the 1960s he began broadcasting commentaries on the CBS Evening News. Part of the American Journalists Series set to release in June.
