"Listen, my children, and you shall hear of the midnight ride of Paul Revere." With a writing career that spanned sixty years, Longfellow created over 400 poems and poetic narratives. In celebration of his 200th birthday, the U.S. Postal service has issued a commemorative stamp featuring a portrait of the famed poet and a image of Paul Revere, as part of the Literary Arts series.
