How to Soak Stamps - Getting Stamps off Paper

Many of the stamps collectors receive come still on the envelope. Sometimes that is preferable, such as when the stamp is part of a First Day Cover . But in most cases, the stamp needs to be taken off the envelope so it can be properly sorted and put in a stamp album or other display. To do this the stamps must be soaked off the envelopes.
