The Wedding Rings issue is designed to complement the Wedding Cake issue, intended for use on wedding RSVP cards. Renee Comlet of Washington, DC took the photos for both of the issues. Like the wedding cake, ring traditions vary greatly. However the double-ring ceremony is a relatively recent innovation, a product of late-19th century jewelry marketing.
