The wedding cake issue was designed to be the perfect compliment to wedding invitations. It is priced at the 2 ounce rate to cover the often heavier invitation. Its partner stamp, the wedding rings issue, is oriented towards the RSVP card. Wedding cakes were found as far back as Roman era. Wedding cake traditions vary by country and region, but the cake is consistently one of the centerpieces of the ceremony.
