Erika Martinez

Erika Martinez is artistic coordinator for H.E. Harris & Co., one of America's oldest stamp publication companies, and has been a stamp collector for over twenty years.

Erika embraced the stamp hobby at a young age, thanks in part to a family of collectors that goes back three generations. She acquired not only an interesting collection over the past twenty years, but also the knowledge of an established philatelist.

Today Erika is artistic coordinator for H.E. Harris & Co., which has been serving the philatelic community since 1916. Over the past four years, she has written and designed on a number of stamp publications, including but not limited to, price guide catalogs, stamp collector packets, stamp albums for both the beginning collector and the advanced philatelist, and various beginning hobby collecting books.

My father introduced my brother and I to stamp collecting when we were young children, passing on to us the knowledge his father passed to him. Like most beginning stamp collectors, I was fascinated by the beautiful illustrations found on these small rectangular pieces of paper, and quickly immersed myself into the world of philately. Today, I am working with one of the oldest philatelic companies, designing stamp publications for collectors of all ages and all levels.

I hope that my knowledge as both a collector, and publication designer, will excite and inspire a new era of stamp collectors who, in turn, can pass their know how from generation to generation.
