As Black History Month 2013 winds down, why not pay a virtual visit to the National Postal Museum, for an immersive tour of the great variety of the black experience as noted through stamps and philately?

Apart from all the philatelic honors people of color have earned, you can also learn about their experiences in the postal service in America. A realistic examination, not at all sugar coated, will let you learn about the fight for worker rights, which mirrored the struggles in the outside world for human rights. There are also the stories of success and advancement as the world changed to one of greater understanding and cooperation and the contributions of people of color added to the fabric of American life.
