Today is the day when each year we in America remember civil rights pioneer and man of peace Martin Luther King Jr.
While he has been commemorated on U.S. stamps, there is now an official USPS item that remembers the man in the context of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial, which was unveiled last year.
A tasteful keepsake, it is a philatelic event cover, featuring a silk cachet and canceled on October 16, 2011, the dedication day of the memorial.
