Michael Patrick Cronan (1951-2013) who, among his accomplishments in a noteworthy career in art and graphic design produced a pair of stamps for the USPS, died January first after a five year battle with cancer.

The stamps, issued in 1999, included a commemorative for the 50th anniversary of NATO, seen nearby. The other -- sadly and ironically -- was issued to promote prostate cancer awareness.
