Much to the happiness of those of us who can't get to the post office for every new issue, the USPS 2010 Stamp Yearbook is now available. A hardcover book weighing in at 64 pages, it includes 65 commemorative stamps issued over the course of 2010. Worthy commemoration subjects included Kate Hepburn, legendary film cowboys including Roy Rogers,  Sunday Funnies, Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet, which were introduced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show,  the Boy Scouts, the Negro Leagues and many others.

This is the second year that there is also a special issue of the yearbook with places for the mysterious mail use stamps. Actually, there's no mystery at all. Mail use stamps are those categorized as neither definitive or commemorative, but fall in between those designations. These include love, wedding, holiday stamps, etc. This year they are Flags of Our Nation, Love stamp, Butterfly (2nd ounce rate), Angel with Lute holiday stamp, and Evergreens Forever Stamps.
